Summary:
Collects, cleans patient care equipment and assists with environment of care rounds to support safe and efficient patient care.
Supports highest clinical quality by ensuring patient care equipment is delivered within established priority guidelines.
Position
Responsibilities:
oCollects soiled equipment and specialty carts throughout the facility and returns the equipment to designated area for cleaning.
oTerminally cleans equipment according to manufacturer's recommendation and inspects equipment to assure patient safety.
Returns equipment to proper storage locations.
oPerforms physical inventory, requisitions and replenishes items to support equipment and specialty carts.
Requisitions supply items utilizing Materials Management Information System.
oLocates equipment utilizing equipment tracking system.
oDocuments and requisitions equipment rentals as needed.
oDocuments equipment issues, repairs and location throughout the facility.
oDelivers specialty carts (i.
e.
, code cart, isolation cart, urology cart), patient care equipment and equipment accessories within established priority guidelines.
oAssembles bedside patient traction upon request.
oPerinatal - Handles and transports specimens according to policies and procedures, assists with transporting and transferring of patients while using correct body mechanics.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Health Care experience with knowledge of patient care equipment.
Required Education:
HS Diploma or GED.
