The primary duties of the CCIT Travel Agent are to:
Proficiently serve clients by selling various travel products offered by the Agency. A concentration on Diamond Elite and Preferred vendor products is required. Prepare and issue invoices related to travel sales.
Operate applicable automated airline reservation and ticketing system. Satisfactorily handle refunds and complaints according to policy. Comply with all ARC regulations and AAA Mid-Atlantic policies and procedures in collection and handling of assets.
Utilize ARC Agent's Handbook and standard travel reference material for airline, rail, and hotel/resort, etc. . Complete other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of accredited travel school preferred.
2 to 5 years of experience as retail travel agent.
Previous experience as a AAA Travel Counselor or at least one year of retail experience or travel sales.

A competitive salary of $13.50 to $16.25/hour, depending on experience.
Position is eligible for an Individual Incentive Plan based upon sales success.

37.5 hour work week flexible schedule. Weekend availability required. Store Hours: 7A-7P Mon-Fri, 8A-5P Sat, Sun 10A-4P

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
