OBJECTIVE: Residential mortgage business development with a focus on superior Customer Service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leads, directs, and oversees the activities of the Mortgage Operation from opening, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing/delivery, and final documentation.
Ensure managers and all personnel observe workflow practices that support the Bank's Customer Service Standards along with departmental, regulatory, and Investor guidelines.
Ensures all processing deadlines and service standards are met.
Determines work priorities, schedules, work assignments, evaluates work performance, and provides ongoing recognition, mentoring, coaching, and counseling.
Works closely with others to resolve systems issues between Loan Operations and Encompass LOS.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and federal and state laws.
Ensure adequate processes, procedures, and workflow are in place to meet business and regulatory requirements. Identifies, develops, and recommends revision of internal standards and new programs to improve efficiency. Provides staff with clear concise written guidelines and minimizes losses through effective internal controls.
Produces management reports associated with loan origination such as productivity reports, pipeline reports, trend reports and progress reporting.
Resolves complex and sensitive loan operations and customer service issues. Makes decisions based on what is best for clients, and the company. Assures quality customer service to all clients and has the authority to take calculated risks after evaluation of all the facts.
Provides second level review and signature to loans that are denied or withdrawn, providing clients with alternative program counteroffers, if available, and to loans requiring condominium warrants that are subject to pending or current litigation.
Assess, recommend, and maintain accountabilities for systems vendors (i.e. Encompass)
Responsible for employment and disciplinary actions; hiring and termination decisions; Staffing needs; Performance Reviews; Employee Relations.
Other projects as directed by senior management



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
